Welcome to the Blackwood Valley Wine Region, a hidden gem in the centre of the majestic southwest of WA. Take the time to discover our region and learn the stories of the vine and wine from the owners and makers of this great wine country.

Vines were first planted in the Blackwood Valley over 30 years ago, and the region has been producing quality fruit and wines ever since. The unique flavours of the area are characterised with earthy undertones in the cabernet and shiraz and golden honey flavours in white wine varieties.

Vineyards have been planted on well drained gravelly loam soils of the jarrah and marri eucalypt forests. The region is named after the Blackwood River which flows through the historic towns of Boyup Brook, Bridgetown, Greenbushes, Balingup and Nannup within the region's boundary.
